4 victims killed in Aliamanu fireworks explosion identified
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The four victims killed in the devastating Aliamanu fireworks explosion on New Year’s Eve have been identified by the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified the following victims:
- Carmelita Benigno, 61
- Nelie Ibarra, 58
- Jennifer Van, 23
- Cassius Ramos-Benigno, 3
The cause and manner of death for the victims are pending.
Loved ones said at least three of the victims are related.
The 3-year-old baby boy was pronounced dead and identified on Monday morning.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has identified him as Cassius Ramos-Benigno.
The incident sent more than 20 people to various hospitals across the island in critical and serious condition.
Six individuals with severe burn injuries were flown to Arizona over the weekend for further treatment.
