‘New Year, New You’ series: Identifying Values, Limiting Beliefs
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - In lieu of New Year resolutions, why not set achievable goals to make real positive changes?
Life Coach Jonathan Freitas is back with HNN’s Sunrise to guide us through the process of resetting our lives and pursuing our dreams, by creating a plan and staying committed.
After completing the Wheel of Life, Perfect Day and Limiting Beliefs exercises, Freitas said it’s also important to identify your top three values.
“Your values are the compass that guide your decisions and actions. When you’re clear on your values, you can align your goals and actions with what truly matters,” Freitas said.
Here are examples of values:
- Accomplishment
- Accuracy
- Acknowledgement
- Adventure
- Authenticity
- Balance
- Beauty
- Boldness

How are your top 3 values reflected in your daily life? What is one decision you can make this week that honors your top value?
After identifying your values and limiting beliefs, the next step is to convert them into power statements that combat any self doubt.
