First Alert Forecast: Hazy skies, XL surf and light winds expected to persist through Tuesday

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Light to moderate winds will veer more southwest the next couple of days, strengthening over the western end of the state, as a front slowly approaches from the northwest. The front will introduce beneficial rain and breezy winds as it moves across the western half of the state. Trades will return during the second half of the week.
A warning level NW swell picks up this afternoon peaking tomorrow with life threatening wave heights. Surf heights along east and south facing shores will remain small through the forecast period.
A high surf warning remains in effect for north and west-facing shores of most islands. Read more here.
