Truck hits pedestrian overpass in downtown Honolulu

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A portion of Vineyard Boulevard was shut down Thursday after a truck hit a pedestrian overpass.

It happened at around 3:30 p.m. just before the Pali Highway intersection near the YMCA.

The vehicle involved appears to be a large flatbed truck that was carrying a cargo truck.

There are no reports of injuries.

The state Department of Transportation says there was no structural damage to the bridge.

The westbound left lane and left turn lane were closed until around 6:15 p.m.
