Residents encouraged to attend town hall on proposed Wahiawa landfill

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The public is invited to attend a community town hall to discuss community concerns about the proposed Wahiawa landfill site.

The town hall is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wahiawa Elementary School cafeteria.

House representatives Amy A. Perruso and Honolulu City Council Vice Chair Matt Weyer will lead the meeting to hear out concerns and to discuss potential environmental impacts.

The heads of the Department of Agriculture, Board of Water Supply, and Dole Food Company will also be there.
