Award Winning Country Star Lee Brice on Sunrise
Getting ready to visit the islands for the Maui Songwriters Festival

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Billy V got to talk with Award winning County Music singer/songwriter Lee Brice this morning on SUNRISE. Just out from celebrating the holidays, he is getting ready to hit the road for his “You, Me & My Guitar Tour” that kicks-off on January 30th in Pennsylvania and his new single “CRY” which he co-wrote will be dropping on January 31, 2025.
But before he heads on the road, he will be flying on a plane to the Hawaiian Islands to take part in the Maui Songwriters Festival next week from January 15-18 at the Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua.
Brice says he enjoys taking part in festivals like this, “Theyʻre just so special because you get to tell stories about the songs. The people get to see where they came from and a lot of times its just the songwriters telling these stories and maybe not the artists; and sometimes the artist is the songwriter and Iʻve always loved doing that.”
Other top songwriters participating from Nashville include Joel Smallbone, for KING + COUNTRY, Chris DeStefano, Deric Ruttan, Randall King, and Brice Long.
Maui’ will be represented by its own singersongwriters – Akoni Palomino, Tempa & Naor, Gail Swanson –
Thanks to the generosity of Maui Songwriters Festival partner-sponsors and attendees, past festivals have raised $170,000 for the Maui community.
