HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - After a security threat forced evacuations at Joint Based Pearl Harbor-Hickam, the military gave the “all clear” notice just after 9 p.m. Monday.

An alert was posted by Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam at around 4:16 p.m. that said: “The Hickam Commissary and Base Exchange have been secured until further notice. Please remain clear of that area.”

JBPHH public affairs director Chuck Anthony told Hawaii News Now, “The Hickam Commissary and BX have been temporarily closed while Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam security forces personnel investigate a possible security threat. Base residents have been advised to remain clear of the area and updates will be provided as information becomes available.”

According to the alert, the threat was reported in the commissary parking lot.

The military did not disclose any other details and no injuries were reported.
